On September  9, 2020 morning, the first-class professional construction mobilization meeting of the school of Information science and engineering was held in Conference Room 406, Feiyun Building. All faculty members of the school attended the meeting, which was presided over by Deputy Dean Ma Zhixin.

    At the meeting, Dean Ren Fengyuan first talked about a letter from the parents of the 2015 students, combined with attending classes and investigating the opinions of current students. He pointed out the shortcomings and problems of the recent school undergraduate teaching work. He also emphasized the necessity, importance, and urgency of the school to carry out the undergraduate professional construction work from the perspective of each teacher's career development and school development. All faculty and staff are required to take active actions, promote the construction of the 'Double Ten Thousand Plan' professional through engineering education professional certification, implement the fundamental task of 'based on this', and promote the undergraduate education to reach new heights.

    Deputy Dean Ma Zhixin introduced the top discipline undergraduate major construction plan and the top course construction cultivation plan of the school. Mr. Cheng Lin, the leader of the core working group of the 'Double Ten Thousand Plan', led everyone to learn the 'Basic Concepts and Core Concepts of Professional Certification' with the topic of 'Building an OBE-based education system, promoting undergraduate professional construction, and improving the quality of talent training'. It explained the details of the certification work process, the arrangement of the school's work nodes, and the application of the top course curriculum construction and cultivation plan so that everyone has a basic understanding and recognition of the professional certification work.

    Two majors, Computer Science and Technology and Communication Engineering, have been selected as the top national discipline undergraduate major construction points in the 'Double Ten Thousand Plan' in 2019, and will be the first batch to apply for carrying out engineering education professional certification. Dr. Yan Hao and Yuan Lei respectively reported the top-level design work of each major. They introduced the graduation requirements of students, curriculum system and mutual support matrix, etc., laying a foundation for the next step OBE teaching reform and implementation of top curriculum construction.

    Secretary Liu Yajun fully affirmed the series of work carried out by the school's undergraduate teaching management service team in the early stage. He believes that the two undergraduate majors of the school have entered the ranks of national top undergraduate majors. The two undergraduate majors have joined the ranks of provincial-level top undergraduate majors, which fully proves and affirms the school's work in undergraduate education and teaching over the years. First-class undergraduate education is the foundation of first-class universities. The school puts forward a first-class undergraduate professional construction plan. Taking the engineering education professional certification as an opportunity will increase funding for curriculum construction and laboratory construction, and support teachers to reform teaching ways, teaching methods, and assessment methods, update teaching content. In the future, the school will increase investment in teaching materials construction, teaching achievement cultivation, curriculum resource construction, innovative practice, engineering training, etc.. He hopes that all faculty of the school will unify their thoughts, clarify the goals of first-class undergraduate professional construction, focus on curriculum teaching reform, actively participate in the school's first-class professional construction work, fully implement the fundamental task of establishing morality and educating people, improve the school's ability to run schools, and comprehensively improve the quality of undergraduate education of the school.
