In order to implement the critical tasks of the school in 2020 and achieve good results in the related work of the fifth round of discipline evaluation, the fifth round of discipline evaluation work promoting meeting of the school of information science and engineering was held in 209 of Feiyun Building on July 22, 2020. Members of the school's fifth round of discipline evaluation leading group and the working group of the school attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Deputy Dean Mei Zhonglei.

    At the meeting, Wang Chengbin, deputy director of the School's Disciplinary Construction and Development Planning Division, delivered a report entitled 'The Fifth Round of Discipline Evaluation and Promote Work Arrangements'. He Centering on the relevant preparation and follow-up work of the fifth round of discipline evaluation, dynamic evaluation of the fifth round of disciplines, especially the primary suggestion, index design, and evaluation methods from the Degree and Postgraduate Education Center of the Ministry of Education and relevant experts. At the same time, he shows the discipline evaluation forecast analysis and pointed out that it is necessary to plan, make a scientific layout, and earnestly complete the fifth round of subject evaluation to lay a solid foundation for more significant progress. The Department of Discipline Construction and the Department of Development Planning will do an excellent job of various services in terms of organization and coordination, policy interpretation, and condition guarantee.

    Dean Ren Fengyuan summarized the preliminary work of finding out the real situation of disciplines through data analysis and made arrangements for the next stage of discipline construction. He emphasized the importance of attaching great importance to the fifth round of discipline evaluation and conscientiously unifying thoughts and actions into the overall deployment of the school; making all-out preparations, carefully reviewing and summarizing the construction of discipline. Actively benchmark against tables, condense written materials to ensure data science and accuracy, continuously strengthen overall planning, highlight key points, and communicate effectively to ensure that the set goals have achieved.

    The participating leading group and working group members formulated work plans according to the actual situation, made task breakdown, and ensured the implementation of each task to each person. According to the requirements of the construction objectives, the problems encountered in the actual data preparation and analysis were discussed, and many constructive suggestions were put forward.

    Secretary Liu Yajun put forward two requirements for discipline construction; one should be a profound analysis, the implementation of detail. The advantages and characteristics of each discipline should be carefully explored, and each working group should actively prepare and cooperate closely to do its best to implement the preparation work for the review. Second, we must gather wisdom and exert strength with precision. The school should gather insight widely, mobilize the enthusiasm of various disciplines, and listen to the opinions and suggestions of teachers and students on discipline evaluation and discipline construction. Taking advantage of subject evaluation, the school should further strengthen planning and construction, continuously improve its working methods, plan the future development of the subject, and make continuous breakthroughs in subject construction. The teachers and students of the whole school should coordinate and cooperate efficiently to do an excellent job in the fifth round of subject evaluation.
