Lanzhou University and Drexel University plan to hold a joint undergraduate education program in computer science and technology (data science direction)
On March 17, the Dean Deng Yi and Prof. Lin Xia from the School of Computer and Information Science of Drexel University visited Lanzhou University, and conducted further consultations on the joint-education project between Lanzhou University and Drexel University. President Wang Cheng met with Deng Yi , Lin Xia and his party.
President Wang said that since the launch of the joint-education project, the two parts have conducted in-depth communication on the basis of preliminary cooperation and have a common vision and good foundation in joint education. President Wang hoped that the Deng Yi’s visit can further implement the contract details as soon as possible, which will serve as a model and a leading role for the joint-education project. Prof. Deng said that Drexel University attaches great importance to cooperation with Lanzhou University, and he will implement all problems as soon as possible. The head of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office and the School of Information Science & Engineering attended the meeting.
In order to introduce foreign high-quality educational resources, advanced education and teaching concepts, school-running and management experience, and improve the quality of personnel training of Lanzhou University, the School of Information Science & Engineering and Drexel University intend to co-organize a joint undergraduate education program in computer science and technology (data science direction). On March 18th, the head of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office and the School of Information Science & Engineering and Prof. Deng negotiated the details of the undergraduate education project.
