In order to further create a good academic atmosphere, cultivate students' scientific research and innovation capabilities, look forward to the prospects of interdisciplinary research, build an academic exchange platform, and according to the unified arrangement and deployment of the graduate school, the School of Information Science and Engineering has launched the "Advocate Interdisciplinary Intersection and Promote Academic Innovation" As the theme of the 13th Annual Graduate Academic Conference activities. This year's academic conference is mainly carried out through various forms such as educating college situation, strengthening the construction of academic atmosphere, inviting expert lectures and exchanges, and excellent thesis defense review.

1、Carry out college situation education

    During the academic annual conference, the college held a publicity exhibition to show the development profile of the college, focusing on the college profile, faculty, scientific research, talent training, academic exchanges, outstanding alumni, etc., allowing students to further understand the development of the college’s disciplines, research team, research direction.

2、Strengthen the construction of academic atmosphere

    On November 20th, the college organized graduate students to watch the "2020 National Science Ethics and Academic Discipline Promotion Education Report" in the conference room on the third floor of Feiyun Building to promote the spirit of scientists, promote students to develop good research habits, and establish correct scientific research attitude. On November 23, Deputy Dean Zhonglei Mei gave a report on academic integrity education in Lecture Hall 1001 of the Physics Building, emphasizing the importance of academic ethics, and admonishing everyone to maintain academic accomplishment and academic ethics, and behave with conscience bottom-line, responsible, and sensible scholars cultivate the scientific spirit of honesty, trustworthiness, truth-seeking and pragmatism.

3、Build a communication platform

    In order to create a good atmosphere for academic innovation and build an academic exchange platform for teachers and students and different interdisciplinary subjects, the college invited Professors Ting Yang, Qun Xi, Jinshui Zhang, Zhixin Ma and other professors to give academic exchange lectures and interdisciplinary forum reports respectively. At the same time, inviting tutors or graduate students from various institutes of the college to introduce the research situation and progress of their project team. The report is open to all graduate students in the school, and there are no restrictions on content and format. Teachers and students are encouraged to make different ideas

4、Organize excellent annual conference paper defense

    On November 25th, the excellent thesis defense and exhibition activities of the annual academic conference were held in the VIP Hall of Feiyun Building. A total of 50 excellent papers of various majors recommended by each research institute enter the defense and display link. The solicitation of academic papers, which is the focus of academic annual conference activities, this year's academic conference participation rate and paper quality have been greatly improved compared with last year. This annual meeting received a total of 592 postgraduate papers, including 50 doctoral papers and 542 master's papers. The student participation rate reached 93%. Graduate students from different grades and majors expressed their opinions in combination with their own research fields and shared their research topics and the highlights and breakthroughs in the papers. Through the selection, 11 first prizes, 14 second prizes and 17 third prizes were finally selected. So far, the one-month academic annual meeting came to a successful conclusion.

    Since the announcement of the annual academic conference, it has received enthusiastic responses and active participation from all teachers and students. Not only has it broadened the horizons of teachers and students, created an academic atmosphere, and strengthened academic exchanges, but it has also played a role in promoting graduate students' innovation and scientific research. At the same time, the college sums up relevant experience and strives to continuously reform and innovate in future academic annual conference activities to provide a broad platform for postgraduate academic exchanges and make our college graduate academic annual conference a brand activity for student activities.
