Professor Bin Hu from the School of Information Science and Engineering of Lanzhou University won the honorary title of "National Advanced Worker."

Professor Bin Hu of the School of Information Science and Engineering of Lanzhou University won the honorary title of "National Advanced Worker". Professor Bin Hu is the chief scientist of 973 Program, a member of the Gansu Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, a leading talent in Gansu Province, director of Gansu Provincial Key Laboratory of Wearable Computing, Board Member of the Computer Science Committee, Ministry of Education, China, member of the Science and Technology Committee, and member of the Division of Computer Science Review Panel, Natural Science Foundation China.

After returning to China for 12 years, Bin Hu, as a leader of the interdisciplinary 'Computational Psychophysiology ', proposed and implemented a quantitative identification method for depression, solved several key problems in the objective quantitative evaluation of depression, and filled the technology gap in this field. He has successively presided over major projects such as the 973 Program, the National Science Foundation China, and the key scientific transformative technology issues, and he has applied for nearly 100 million yuan in research funding. He has published more than 330 high-level papers and was selected as the 2020 Clarivate Highly Cited Scholar. He has successively won the "First Prize of Chinese Ministry of Education Technology Invention Award", "Second Prize of Chinese National Technology Invention Award", and "Chinese National Invention Patent Gold Award". The transformation of core technology products has been completed and generated economic benefits of about 2 billion yuan.
